Yes the matches continue to come thick and fast. This was a dramatic encounter as Athenians made a strong early showing to lead by 1590 at the interval, but sterling stuff in the second half brought home a win by 630 points.

This game will now go ahead at the Carlton on Wednesday, 7 December, 7pm start. Comiston are the home side and have the handicap in their favour of 1200.
I have just heard from Kelso, and we have agreed TUESDAY 14th FEBRUARY for
our rearranged match.
Tonight saw our first home match of the campaign, at the Melville against Peebles.

A third win from 3 matches puts back to the top of the pile! This one was fairly close, final score Rats 14330 Peebles 13610.

Next outing will be at the Melville on Tuesday 29th November against Athenians.
We will now play Comiston away in Round 2, which is to be completed before the end of December.
It’s an Edinburgh fixture, to be at the Carlton. This seems to be the short list of dates:

As you all know, we had to withdraw from our match with Kelso due on Tuesday due to illness. A new date will need to be found, probably in February or March.
This season’s launch party took place on Saturday 29th October at Café Marlayne. It was very fine!
We’ve reached agreement with Diamonds for a rearranged date at Dunfermline on Monday 23rd January. Please make sure this goes in your diaries!
I am told there might be a general competition going on in the same room but I can’t see that being a major issue, might be a bit noisier than usual for a league match but I’m sure we can cope.
If Dunfermline BC is too busy on that night we will seek an alternative venue but the playing date has now been agreed. We’ll know about the venue in a few days.
This will be much easier to keep up to date, and looks more, um, modern. All the old stats are present and correct, so plenty to keep Rat researchers happy. It is now possible to have “members only” content so we can have private photo galleries and the like should we wish.
